JUSTIFICATION

"Catholics believe that good works is enough/necessary for a person to be saved when the Bible clearly says that all you have to do is believe."

Controversies exist over what it means to be justified and what it means to be "saved". Since most evangelicals think that being justified simply by faith (ie: sola fide) is enough, they also think doctrines are unnecessary or are of secondary importance. This assumption allows them also to add that there is no need to be concerned about denominations contradicting each other in certain doctrines. Also controversial are topics to do with free will and God's sovereignty (supreme control).
